Reforestation campaign in Ndiouck Fissel: youth taking root through action
The youth of Ndiouck Fissel have chosen to launch a reforestation campaign, with the support of CREATES. A local initiative that goes beyond the simple act of planting trees, embedding itself in a broader territorial dynamic of transformation.

Beyond reforestation
For CREATES, planting trees only makes sense when it is part of a broader dynamic: restoring soil fertility, creating social bonds, mobilising youth and regenerating ecosystems degraded by large-scale land investments, urbanisation and unsustainable agricultural policies.
A tree is more valuable when it is rooted in a collective project. This is why CREATES works with communities, DyTAELs and civil society to connect reforestation, agroecology, inclusive governance and social justice.

A mobilised youth

A few trees planted will not make the difference on their own. But a mobilised youth, a territory that organises itself, a dynamic that takes root — these are what can help reshape a promising future. This campaign reflects CREATES’ conviction: lasting transformations emerge from initiatives driven by local actors.
